I'm so excited for Christmas that I can hardly bear it!
My roomate Jade and I got into a creative mood today by visiting the Arts and Crafts Fair held at the Academy of Fine Arts. I wanted to buy everything! Instead, I limited myself to $20 and got a few knick knacks to give as Christmas presents. After that, we stopped by the Vintage Lynchburg fair where lots of Etsy-esque things were to be found! There were all kinds of refurbished furniture, shoes, clothes, and housewares, all contained in an adorable, Christmas-light atmosphere. We were absolutely drooling! But, I had already spent all of my cash so I wasn't planning on buying anything, until I saw this:
It's an Aladdin's Vanguard Thermos Bottle. There's not much information on it, but the bit of information that I gleaned from eBay posts says that these were made around the 1960's, early '70's. They're only selling for anywhere from $8-$15 from what I saw, but I got this little beauty for $5, so I consider it a steal! It's in great, clean condition and I've already used it for hot chocolate!
In other news, I've started creating some typographic prints that I'll be giving as presents!
Here are some sneek peeks... I'll post the final drafts after they have been given to their respective recipients ;)
